The organizers after the concert! Mabuhay ang mga bikolanos!
23 February 2007. Friday night. The second phase of Paglaum: A United Hope for Bicol came with a howling success! Rock enthusiasts bringing at least three canned goods were treated with the music of the best bands in the country today. Those who performed were Sugarfree, Sponge Cola, Bloomfields, Dicta License, Kjwan, Makhatha, Slapshock, Monsterbot, Wake Up Your Seatmate, Shifting Sands, Bagetsafonic, Happy Meal, Peryodiko, Toto Sorioso, and Mr. Noel Cabangon.
The hosts were various students from the different Bicol organizations (KO of UP Bicol Coalition & UP Lingkod Bayan such as TJ, Sly & Pat), UP Chaplaincy (Anna Tuazon UPSCA and UP Psychology professor, and 1st runner-up Mutya ng Pilipinas Patricia Fernandez UPSCA and Fr. Jboy SJ), GK Ateneo (Monch Lopez), JP Calleja and Ms. Gang Badoy. In the audience were UP professor Melecio Fabros of Aral and Ateneo professor Danton Remoto and Mr. Rene San Andres.
Great thanks to Ms. Gang Badoy and the bands of Rock Ed Philippines and Mr. Alex Torres of the PE Department for the Covered Courts. Ms. Anelin Perez of the Ateneo Physical Plant; Joy and Cathy of the Office of Administrative Services; Julie/Joy/Mhir of the Office of Student Activities; SNS Lights and Sounds, Sony and Jollibee.
