21-23 February 2007. There are three phases in the plan to help in the rehabilitation of Bicol in the aftermath of the typhoon Reming. The organizing committee led by UP Lingkod Bayan, the UP Bicol organizations from the different provinces of Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate and Catanduanes, UP Ibalon and Saro, UP Chaplaincy in cooperation with the GK UP, Miriam and Ateneo, put up a photo-exhibit which made its debut at the AS Walk in UP, NCPAG, Miriam and Ateneo. Here, the photo was exhibited at the Colayco Pavilion, Manual Pangilinan Student Leadership Center, Ateneo de Manila University. One of the most active organizer is JP Calleja shown in this picture with a fellow Bikolana in Ateneo. Both of them are from Sorsogon.
The second phase is the band concert with Rock Ed Philippines. The pictures are above.
The photo exhibit was put up to generate interest and awareness about the situation in Bicol. The most important objective though was to promote the value of concern for the victims of natural disasters.
