Father,
This morning’s Mass was great with your homily on the better part of relating with Christ.
May I comment that the sound system was too loud and shrill and could not carry the choir’s voices effectively?
If the power of the amp is not good enough, the volume should not be turned too high. Otherwise, the quality of the sound is distorted.
We can have the volume modulated to the right capacity of the amplifier achieving good sound but the resulting volume is not loud enough for everyone to hear; or we can set the volume high and everyone can hear it, but the sound is shrill, very distracting and distorts the quality of the voices of the choir and musical instruments.

Hi Rey,
Yes, I know what you mean. For several months now, I have been wondering why the sound system in UP if I say mass at 11:00 AM Sunday is not as loud as my other masses. During the 1st Sunday of July, I checked the sound system, and it seems that Joseph, the sacristan lowered the “volume” regularly if I say the mass (volume was 5). My choir and the musicians are great so it does not give them justice. Since last Sunday, I couldn’t hear them quite, unless I bring my own: but that is too taxing for me unless it is the 2nd Sunday Special student Mass. So I checked when I was not at mass, and saw the difference (volume was set to 9). Now I put it at par with the other masses, and it turned out shrill and loud (also 9). Perhaps, I will put it at 7 next time. There is a difference I guess when the choir/ musicians and I project our voices. Thanks for the comment; you’re not the first one to tell me that today. Do take care and God bless. Since I am at the altar, it would be difficult for me to tell the sacristan, can you help me tell the choir/musicians when the sound system is again bad? I will really appreciate it. Thanks again.
Father JBoy,
Just sent you a text early this morning. Hope you can make it on Feb 13th.
Regards.
